May 17 Healing Session
An excerpt from my healing sessions with a local Reiki-healer and spiritual guide. We begin with a Reiki session and then I do a guided meditation with her. We see where it will take us each time.
I assess Pauline’s energy field and I notice some emotions in the heart chakra and also in the solar plexus; struggling, trying to keep her own power, her own independence. I notice in her energy field that her left leg is stronger than her right.
I then see a vision of Pauline, she is running away from a fire, afraid of this fire, which is the unknown. And then I see her laying down and the sun starts to shine and it is like she notices that she is not burned at all. This fire never reaches us and there is a saying that comes in, and this saying is about fear: We fear the things that we fear the most, and yet they might never reach us.
Next I see a vision of an African drummer coming in. This drummer starts to drum and it is like he is drumming away all the fears around Pauline.
Then I see butterflies coming in, many of them, big, small, and they land on Pauline’s body, they represent transitions in many forms and ways.
Then I see a vision of Pauline walking, there are people beside the road. They encourage Pauline and at the end of this walk she is provided with flowers.
I then see a Tibetan monk coming in. He moves the prayer wheels with his hands in this temple, as he comes closer he starts to speak. His smile is full of love and so much wisdom. He gets out a canvas and starts to paint this bright yellow/orange sun and Pauline is standing in front of the sun and the light of the sun is shining through her entire body, all her cells are affected by this light. He says, “Pauline needs to paint her own sun on campus, and she has to be in front of it. This light, the sun, needs to be recognized as a powerful sun, a sun that moves through her entire body. If she can create this on canvas and hang it in the room close by the kitchen, it will be good every time she struggles with the idea of not knowing what will come next for her.”
” You see,” he says, “this light, this sun, never changes. It is always there to provide her with this strength, this love, it will fill her up, for she will recognize this sun, this light, to be hers as well.”
The monk opens up a tablet of words, the words are engraved and it is dark and gold in color. He starts to engrave words:
Strength is the reality of being able to embrace every experience without seeing lack within self or others.
Strength is to engineer the reality of your life, with wisdom that you can make a difference.
Strength is to see everything through the eyes of a newborn child, like experiencing everything anew.
The strength Pauline is taking on, the strengths she will share with others, it is not the strength of having a strong body, or having the skills to win a race. No, it is not that strength. It is the strength of allowing the journey to unfold the way it needs to unfold and taking all the gifts from it, and sharing these gifts with others. And like we said before, she will leave a legend behind, she will be an advocate for others. As her journey unfolds she will start to write more. And she will start to write down the gifts of every day. She will create this in many forms or ways.
Then I see a tiny butterfly sitting in the hand of one of her daughters and I hear the little one say, “Look mom, look how beautiful!” And the monk says, “It is the observer that makes a statement, and sees with the eyes of wonder. And this wonder will light up our soul.”
I ask the monk what Pauline can do for herself to feel positive. The monk shows me a vision of a huge tsunami coming in. And I see all the people running from this tsunami and the monk says,” When we see and experience fear for what the future might bring, we move and drown in the flow of the water. Pauline needs to remember that it is in her strength of deep inner knowing that will make a difference. And when she is in a place of sadness, fear and all the emotions the physical bodies carry, then all she needs to do is embrace her feelings and then let them go. For once we embrace our feelings for what they are, we can let them go, and see the gifts that lie beneath these emotions.”
I asked him for a vision of the upcoming summer. I see Pauline laughing and laughing. I see her sitting outside by the water, and I see her creating a piñata and out of this piñata comes lots of small gifts. I see joy and happiness. And the monk says,” I see Pauline with a group of close friends, and they are sharing gifts with each other. One of them reaches out and I can hear her say, Surprise! It is like they are going to do something together and it is a surprise for Pauline.”
And the monks says,” Gifts, so many gifts, are here in this moment and in the future to come.”
I then see a white dove coming in, it has a note in its beak and on the note I read: Believe and see the road of yours as adventure without any obstacles. When we believe it is to be an obstacle, we will experience it as an obstacle.
The monk says, “And last we remember the gifts of our so chosen journey.”
“Mom,” I hear, “look what I made!” I see a big red heart, nicely coloured. And the monk says, ” Unconditional love.”
As the monk leaves, he leaves behind a canvas, brush, and paint.
“Believe, see, create, and reach the top of the mountain without any obstacle in the way.” Then he leaves.
